Liking John Denver is one of my more shameful habits, but there’s something about his gentle country music that I just love. And so I was very pleased when a friend played me this wonderful version of Take Me Home, Country Roads by reggae/ska stars Toots & The Maytals. Because surely if the band who recorded the mighty Funky Kingston & Pressure Drop covered one of his songs, then it must mean that John Denver is cool!
