A very short post today – a friend just sent me the video you can see below. It’s for the amazing Nina Simone’s Sinnerman. And despite the lack of any obvious visuals, it’s probably the most effective video I’ve seen on YouTube for ages. JUST LISTEN!

One of my all time faves. Thomas Crown Affair used that song. I gues thats why Timbaland calls himself Thomas Crown. He just samples that and turned it to “Oh Timbaland”

An absolutely outstanding track. I’ve heard many versions of the song, stretching back almost 50 years (I’m 60). This is completely different to any other version I’ve come across, and the manic frenetic tempo fits the lyrics ideally. A modern day version of Dies Irae.
