Brownswood Remixes

Brownswood seems to be celebrating its first birthday by releasing a load of remixes as downloads; it’s one party I’m more than happy to gatecrash…

I’ve already talked about the excellent remix/re-recording of Ben Westbeech’s So Good Today featuring the Dap Kings, but thought that I’d full you in on some other great remixes that Brownswood have released recently.

  • Soil & Pimp Sessions – Sahara (Zed Bias Remix): Full on dance-floor jazz gets twisted into nu-jazz that is sure to have the floors of West London rocking, if it isn’t already.
  • Heritage Orchestra – Skybreaks (Jazzanova Remix): The orchestra that grew from a club-night see their most epic moment to-date (and they’ve had a few) turned into a typical Jazzanova track; lush, cool & beautiful.
  • Ben Westbeech – So Good Today (Frost & Wagner Remix): The best song of ’06 gets another reworking; and it sounds just as good as a laid-back dub track as it does in any of its other versions.

Right, it’s time for bed. At this rate Brownswood will empty my bank account quicker than I would myself if I were with Northern Rock.

Obviously everything on this site is the opinion of me, Ciarán Norris, and no-one else, including my employers and anyone else I know. I guess that it's probably obvious, but thought I should probably make it explicit. Anyway, enjoy!
