A very short post in honour of Cardiff City playing in the FA Cup later this afternoon. I bought this song for a very good friend, who I was living with at the time, when I worked in the Leamington Spa branch of (the now sadly defunct) Fopp Records*. It was a limited edition 7″, and on the other side was a song about Cardiff’s mortal enemies Swansea (or jack bastards as my flatmate always lovingly refers to them.)

It’s a lovely bit of ridiculous indie-pop, in the same vein as the Sultans of Ping FC’s Where’s Me Jumper. Although there’s actually a special FA Cup Final remix of Cardiff City Superstars by Helen Love, I’ll always have a place in my heart for the original, as I will for my Cardiff supporting mate and the team itself.

Bloooooooooobirrrrrrrrrds!

* It seems that FOPP rose from the dead, although the store I worked in is now separate from FOPP.

Obviously everything on this site is the opinion of me, Ciarán Norris, and no-one else, including my employers and anyone else I know. I guess that it's probably obvious, but thought I should probably make it explicit. Anyway, enjoy!
