Just Another Social Profile Really

I haven’t seen a good music based internet meme for a while now, so thanks to Jane for bringing this one to my attention. Basically the idea is to find out what the name of your band would be, if you were to form an imaginary one, along with the name & cover image of your debut album.

I’ll let the people at Aether Everywhere, the forum where the meme seems to have originated, explain:

1 – Go to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Random
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 – Go to Random quotations: http://www.quotationspage.com/random.php3
The last four words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

If you want to do this again, you’ll hit refresh to generate new quotes, because clicking the quotes link again will just give you the same quotes over and over again.

3 – Go to flickr’s “explore the last seven days” http://www.flickr.com/explore/interesting/7days/
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

Put it all together, that’s your debut album.

Well, it seems that my band would be called ‘Battle of Sunda Strait’, our first album would be called ‘Want To Interrupt Her’ and you can see the cover image above, which is kind of apt I think, considering the name of the album.

Bizarrely enough, I actually came up with an imaginary record label when I was about 18, complete with a roster of bands. If I remember correctly the label was going to be called King L Records, and our main act was called The Babe Deans. No, I can’t remember either.
