		<description>when i moved to the UK from the states we had to sell just about everything. eBay had a cool program where you could give x%, automatically, to a charity and we chose humane society. i think, in return, they lowered their fees and &quot;supposedly&quot; your items would get higher visibility. (not sure about that one)

the other thing we did which got rid of a lot of crap was to have a &quot;karma sale&quot;. the bigger ticket items were priced but there was a room in the flat with a jar and you just tossed what you felt was a fair amount in the jar and took your stuff. we got rid of a lot of stupid kitchen gadgets and stuff this way.
