The Greatest Ad Of All Time?

According to Wikipedia advertising is:

a form of communication intended to persuade an audience (viewers, readers or listeners) to purchase or take some action upon products, ideals, or services. It includes the name of a product or service and how that product or service could benefit the consumer, to persuade a target market to purchase or to consume that particular brand.

By that, or any other definition, this is almost certainly the greatest ad of all time.

You know I’m right. You’ll hate yourself for admitting it, but you know it’s true.

It’s the dancing dog that does it.

PS – I’m not (entirely) joking.

yes, so annoying, it’s memorable, so very effective. These webuyanycar ads are like fluorescent junk mail – you just can help but notice them. Years ago Willie Rushton http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Willie_Rushton did carphone warehouse ads on capital radio. i used to hear them when i woke up and that guy’s irritating voice would be in my head on and off all day – sensationally annoying but very good advertising – it’s a shame there seems to be this natural conflict

Obviously everything on this site is the opinion of me, Ciarán Norris, and no-one else, including my employers and anyone else I know. I guess that it's probably obvious, but thought I should probably make it explicit. Anyway, enjoy!
